Let the Traveling Begin...

It has been so nice having Trevor home since April. If you know his work schedule, that is a very long time for him to be home, and not traveling almost every other week. Well, the time has come for him to start traveling again, and I, for one, am definitely not looking forward to it. In fact, he is out of town on business right now. I guess I forgot what it was like when he travels, because I am having the hardest time sleeping. Any noise in the house wakes me up in a panic, even though I have the alarm on, and if anyone so much as opens a door, it will go off. My worst fear is someone breaking into my house and harming me, and it is 10 times worse when Trevor is not home. This trip is only from Monday to this Thursday, so one more night alone, but he tells me that September he has a new project starting in Maryland, which means he will most likely start the 10 days away, 4 days home schedule again. NOT my fave. This schedule is supposed to last until the end of the year (December) and continue and finish (hopefully) in January.

So, ummm.... excuse me, I am freaking out because I am due February 4th, and if I deliver even a week early, that will be January. It is starting to freak me out that he will not be there when the baby is born, or when I go into labor. He will also not be here when I am huge and pregnant and need him to go get things, run errands, etc. I cannot imagine what my back will feel like then, but I know right now that it is already killing me! Being pregnant, plus the back pain I deal with everyday from being top heavy, this could get rough. Not trying to go on a complaining spree, but I have been worrying about these things for a few weeks now, and I need to let it out!! LOL!

In other news, I started a Pregnancy Yoga video last night, and OUCH am I sore this morning! This lady has me using muscles I did not know I had! It was hard to walk up the stairs this morning because I have been so bad about working out, and even stretching has become chore. I will keep at it though! I want to be a healthy weight with this pregnancy, and even though I have not gained any weight yet, I want to keep it a healthy weight once I start gaining. I hope all of you are keeping cool in this hot, hot summer weather. I do not know about you, but I am ready for the cool fall weather and the clothing that goes along with it!! Keep cool everyone, and have a great week!!

I feel like a Yo-Yo!

I have finally entered into my second trimester, and am so excited to start getting my energy back, certain parts of me aren't as sore as they used to be(lol), and I was excited for the nausea to go away. I was having really good luck with the drug Zofran helping with my nausea, but that medicine makes things harder on your body to function (and those who have taken it know what I am talking about- its way too TMI to discuss), so I was ready to get off of it everyday and just have that "Honeymoon Second Trimester". So, entering into my 13th week I stopped taking the Zofran- not so bad.... I felt fine as long as I ate something right when I woke up in the morning. I though "Ah ha! I have found the secret to this morning/all day sickness thing!" Hmmm... not so much. Everyday is a different scenario and I am beginning to feel like a Yo-Yo- one day up and fine and one day dropping back down to misery. Yesterday I felt the best I have this entire pregnancy- I though "Eureka! It has finally happened!" Yea.... wake up this morning, not so much. So, I have resorted back to my precious Zofran. I will take it in the morning if I feel nauseous, and if I don't then I will not. I cannot wait until I never have to take it!! (That's going to happen, right Moms?)

On the other hand, I am still shocked that I am actually pregnant. I really do not think that it will sink in until I feel the baby move, which my OB/GYN said would be aroun 16-20 weeks. I am also looking forward to getting my 19/20 week sono so we can find out if this baby is a boy/girl. Almost everyone who has guessed the sex has guessed boy, so we shall see! I am making an appointment today to get a "ghetto" sonogram done at Stork Vision at 16 weeks, just to see if they can tell what the sex of the baby is, but I will not begin the clothes buying frenzy until I go to my 19 weeks appointment on September 19th- just to make sure!! :)

Happily moving through the beginning of my 2nd trimester, and I cannot wait to see my baby again in 2 weeks, and to feel my baby move for the first time (which will hopefully happen sooner than later!). Until next time, have a great rest of the summer!

Shocker I know! New Post!

I am the worst blogger of all time- lol. It has literally been since last summer since I posted anything, and so much has happened since then. I am going to give a quick run down of my year- and not a very detailed one at that.

As I had previously stated in one of my earlier posts, Trevor and I tried for 16months to get pregnant with our 1st baby. I went through 2 OB/GYNs and was then even referred to an RE (reporiductive endocronologist). They thought that my next step was IUI, but my OBGYN put me on 1500mg of Metformin adn gave me one last try with 100mg of Clomid. I had done 8 rounds of Clomid by this point and most doctors will stop you at 3-6! I am ecstatic to say that the final round worked!!!! I am 13 weeks pregnant with our first baby and Trevor and I could not be more excited! That was a HUGE part of our year, with so many worries, tears- from me of course- and frustrations. I can truly say that infertility is one of the hardest things that a woman can go through, and you just do ont know how it feels until they tell you that you will not have a baby on your own. I feel extremely blessed that my story has a happy ending, and I am praying very hard for my friends/family who are going through the same thing. I was so blessed to have people praying for me, and I believe that the power of prayer is what got me pregnant, so I do not miss a day praying for those people who also need it. My due date is February 4th, 2012, so I am sure that I will have lots more to tell you about! I would post my picture of my 12 weeks appt. sono, but my baby was so active it is actually really blurry, so I decided to skip it. :)

I also turned 30 this year, which was really not as bad as it seems! I loved my 20s but I would definitely not go back through all of the trying to figure out who I am, etc. My sister also got married this February 7th, and it was so beautiful! We wnt on a ski trip to Steamboat, CO. and her and Garrett tied the knot on a snow ladened hill that our condo was next to. The view was gorgeous!! It was snowing so hard that day, you could barely see the view in her wedding pics, but it was a truly precious moment for me to serve as her Matron of Honor.

Basically I am highlighting the major things that happened in my life, because a whole year of explaining would just be to long! I hope to get better at this, yes, I kow I have said thsi before, but hopefully with the kiddo on the way, I will have more things to talk about and share with you!!

Weekend Rewind

This past weekend was particularly good because Trevor came home on Thursday night, and he got to the spend the weekend at home with me! After he flew in on Thursday evening we went to Saltgrass and had dinner and had a great dinner. Then on Friday night we watched a movie together and did some laundry, and cleaned the house a little. I was really excited that Trevor was home this weekend because we had an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party to attend on Saturday night, and it seems like he is always out of town when there are parties to attend. The girls (me, Paige, Jenay, Chelsea and J'ton) all wanted to get our makeup done for the party, so we had appointments at the MAC store at Firewheel. My makeup looks kind of dark for me, but everyone else's looked great! The party was alot of fun, and I got a beautiful necklace out of the Chinese gift exchange (thanks to Chelsea!). Trevor and I ended up staying at Garrett's house that night so that we did not have to drive back to Lewisville from Rowlett, a nice change! We woke up Sunday morning and Trevor went to his parent's house to fix something on my car and get it ready to be sold, and Paige and I lounged on the couch all day watching movies. At around 1:30PM I went to Trevor's parents house to make and decorate Christmas cookies and eat lunch. My cookie decorations are not that great- but they sure did taste good! :) After we left we headed home and watched the Cowboy game- and that was my weekend! Unfortunately Trevor left again this morning for Maryland and does not come back until the 22nd of December, but hopefully the time will pass quickly. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!

Catch up!

Wow-it's been to long since I last posted on this blog. I am definitely more busy since I graduated and started working full time. Work is going great, and I love the people I work with everyday. I turned 29 in June, and had a great birthday. Went to the lake for the 4th of July with our friends Clint and Jessica, and I found out that one of my dearest friends Loni is pregnant, and I could not be happier for her and her husband Josh! We are currently planning her baby shower, and it's going to be so much fun. Trevor and I are still in the baby making proxess, we have not had any luck, but I am staying positive! I have heard that stressing over it just makes it harder, so I am trying to stay optimistic!

Trevor and I will be heading to Europe in August and spending 10 glorious days over there! I cannot wait! We are going to Munich, Venice, and Rome. This has been one of my dreams since I was young, so I cannot wait to see all the sites.

Also my friends Aaron and Brooke got married in June. It was a beautiful wedding, and Trevor and I had a great time celebrating with them. Just trying to touch on all of the highlights from this last couple of months, and I will try to do better about posting! I am sure I will have pictures of our Europe trip at the end of this month. Until then, XOXOXOXO!!

Graduation

So I graduated college on May 14th @ 1:00PM. I gotta say that it was the best feeling! I did not think that it would make me so emotional but it did. Finally closing that chapter, and ready to move on with the rest of my life. Here are some pictures of my graduation and the awesome party that my Mom, my sister, and Stephanie threw me! Love you guys! It was so much fun!!
