We did finish Cole's nursery, and I love it! I think it turned out really cute. It has decorations, but not too much, and the decor goes really well with his bedding and curtains. He will be able to grow with this decor since it is not at all "babyish" and Pottery Barn (where we got his crib bed and curtains) has a "big boy" comforter and sheet set to match the crib bedding we already have. Bonus! Here are a few pictures of his nursery!

On another note, I am now 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and sooo ready for Cole to make his arrival. At my last appointment I was at a 0 dilation- yay, but she said that my cervix was super soft, so that is a good sign as far as effacement goes. I have my doctors appointment for this week tomorrow, so hopefully I will have progressed some by then, and if not, the waiting game will continue. Since this is my first pregnancy, everyone has told me that I will most likely be late, so I am mentally prepared for my last day of pregnancy to be February 11th- since that is the last day my doctor will "allow" me to be pregnant- which means induction time. She did say that if I was so terribly uncomfortable and just ready, that she would induce me on my due date, but not anytime before that. However, my doctor is not on call that day because 2/4 is a Saturday, and she does not work Saturdays, so I am thinking that even if I do decide to induce, it will most likely be the 6th (Monday after). I have been having a whole lot of Braxton Hicks lately, so pretty uncomfortable, others just the normal tightening of my tummy. Each time I hope that they will turn into active labor, but nothing so far.... This is also my last week at work- hooray! After that I will be at home waiting for Cole to arrive, and getting some unfinished things done around the house. The after he arrives I am so excited to say that I will be staying home with him as a Stay-At-Home-Mom. I have heard that this is such a hard job because you get no time off, like a lunch hour, or a break, and that you have almost no adult conversation during the day. We shall see! Right now I feel extremely blessed to have such an opportunity, and will make the most of our days together. I also have the advantage of having my sister-in-law Tanya at home, and with her daughter Vivian so close to Cole's age (she was born in November) it will be fun to see the cousins grow up together. That is all I really have going on right now, like I said, the waiting game for Cole to arrive. I cannot wait to share with all of you his pictures once he does! Until next time...

The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-71402344920061560622011-12-06T11:27:00.000-08:002011-12-06T11:52:31.626-08:00Cole's Baby Shower
Once again I am behind on the whole blogging thing. So much has been going on lately, that I have not had time! On 11/12/11 I had mine and Cole's Baby Shower. It was fantastic! I could definitely feel the love from all of my friends and family, and I am so lucky to have them all in my life. I got a ton of gifts and have already washed all of the baby clothes, and unpacked the gifts. Thank you cards are also done! My hostesses were Paige (the shower was at her house), Stephanie, Libby, Loni and Tammy. They did such a fantastic job! I got so many comments about how smoothly the shower ran and how everything was just beautiful. We also had company staying at our house that weekend. Jessica and Clint and Marcy and Brent all came in town so the ladies could come to the shower. SO sweet of them, and we had a really good time!

Here are a few pictures from the shower taken by the lovely Stephanie G!

Almost the entire group at my shower.

The letters for Cole's room made by Aunt Tanya and Aunt Tammy!

My lovely Hostesses!

The completely awesome Diaper Cake that Loni made me and Cole!

My side of the family

My awesome cake that my sister had made!

We also had our maternity pictures taken by the amazing Allison Duckworth from Elven Thirty Six Images. Today is Halloween, so Happy Halloween to everyone! I started off Halloween with our Annual Costume/Decorations Contest at my work this year. Our department theme was "Zombieland", so we had a bunch of graves everywhere, cobwebs, scary zombies, and even Zombie Hunters this year. I went as a Zombie Hunter this year, so I dressed like a trucker, and had my rifle and hand gun at the ready. :) I did not take pictures this year (I now bad) but some people at work had some awesome costumes this year!! We also have trick-or-treating for the employees kiddos through each department, so I trick or treated with my nephews Greyson and Cody, and my niece Hannah. Cole also got lots of candy throughout the day thanks to me, so he was a bundle of movement all day! Sugar rush! Friday night Trevor and I stayed home and caught up on our DVR'd shows, and then headed to bed! We are so exciting.... lol. Saturday was a very busy day! I woke up and started getting ready for my S-I-L Tanya's shower, and then drove both Tammy and Tanya to the shower in Lantana. I have to say, I LOVE the community of Lantana. They seem very kid and family friendly, and I think that when Trevor and I finally move again, that this will be our next destination. It is farther west from where I currently live, but that will be better for Trevor's job. At the shower, we had fabulous food! I was so full by then end of that shower, I could not even eat the cake! Tanya got alot of cute, cute outfits for baby Vivian, and then we packed up my car, and we headed to Tanya's to drop off all of her gifts. After than Tammy and I went to Magnolia Cafe to eat, then went shopping for maternity clothes for me, and a costume for Trevor. I then headed home, grabbed my costume and headed to my parents house so that my Mom could paint my stomach for my costume. Trevor went as a Beer Pong cup this year with ping pong ball included (it was the easiest costume for me to get him to wear) and Cole and I went as Humpty Dumpty. My tummy was the egg and then we made a box wrapped with red wrapping paper and drawn on bricks for the wall, we also then took stockings to make the legs, stuffed them with tissue paper and then used baby shoes for the feet. So funny! Here are a few pics of me and my sister (she was Red from Fraggle Rock) and me, and then me and Trevor as well from Steph and Mike's Halloween Party.

With me being preggers, I was so tired this year! Booo..... but at least I dressed up, and I had a fun time with this costume. We had a great time! We ended up spending the night at Trevor's parents house on Saturday night after the party because the party was in Wylie, and Garland is SO much closer than Lewsiville. So on Sunday we woke up and I chatted with my Mother-In-Law Vera for a while, and then headed over to my parents house to spend the day with them. Trevor went to play Frisbee golf with his brother Trent. Then we both headed home to watch the Cowboys vs. Eagles game- and.... the Cowboys lost big time. Fail. That brings us to today, the actual day of Halloween! It's Monday, so we are at work, yay, but tonight I will be handing out candy to all of the little costumed children in my neighborhood. So cute!! I hope everyone has a very Happy Halloween! be safe and don't eat too much candy!
The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-13058360464747779692011-10-04T05:48:00.001-07:002011-10-04T06:04:20.165-07:00Crib Bedding!

The search has finally ended for my crib bedding! I had previously written about my mom and me making the crib bedding together, and looking for the fabric, but believe me when I tell you that I could not find anything that I loved. I wanted a "preppy" feel for Cole's nursery, and just could not find the vision that I had in my head. Instead of searching for stripes one afternoon, I started searching for plaid. Right away this crib bedding called "Madras" from Pottery Barn Kinds popped up. I fell in love immediately! It was pretty much a no brainer for me to choose this, and the best part is, I can order it and have it personalized with no hassle or real wait time! We have not ordered the bedding yet, but we are this weekend, and I cannot wait! The website says that it will take 5-7 days to be delivered once we order it. Here are a few pics of the bedding!

The personalized pillow that will say "Cole" in Navy just as the picture shows

The drapes for the windows- so cute!!!

The inside of the crib bumper (I am not doing the star fitted sheet, but a solid red one)

The personalized quilt that will also have Cole's name on it. LOVE!

I personally love all of the colors in this bedding set. It will give me so much leeway to decorate with whatever color I choose, and there are so many choices it's mind boggling! I am trying really hard not to create a theme, but I saw some sailboat decor that was super adorable, so I may incorporate that with other cute things to complete the room. I am so bad at decorating, I need to start watching HGTV!

In other news, it seems that I hit week 22 and my belly just exploded! It went from looking like I was getting really pudgy to HELLO PREGNANT! Kind of loving my belly (which I did not think would happen) and the fact that Cole is a very active baby. I have already been woken up at night by all of his movement, and I cannot help but sit there with my hands on my belly and laugh with complete joy. I feel so blessed! I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather! Until next time....

The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-44857026821716075922011-09-14T07:45:00.000-07:002011-09-14T08:00:50.377-07:00Half Way There!This Saturday I will be 20 weeks, so half way there! I had my 19/20 week sonogram yesterday and everything looked perfect! My lil man was moving around alot in there, very active! I forgot to mention in my last blog that we have decided to name him Cole Trevor Wilhite. I have loved the name Cole for years (since high school) and I just needed Trevor to get on board, and thankfully he loved the name as well. The middle name obviously comes from Trevor- lol. This name was pretty easy to come up with! Not much pain or struggle at all. we had another name Caden, but I thought it sounded like a girl name more than a boy name. So Cole it is! ;)

The on;y thing that was a surprise at my appointment was that my placenta is pretty close to my cervix, and for those of you who have been pregnant before know, this is not a good thing for natural labor. So, if my placenta does not move up or if it covers the cervix completely by the time I go into labor, then I will have to have a C-section. I really wanted to have this baby with natural labor (and when I say natural I mean with an epidural for sure!). But I have heard from many others that a C-section is the way to go as well, I just do not want to have surgery! Ouch! Other than that I am feeling great! Love the 2nd trimester!

Planning the nursery has also been in full swing. I finally found colors that I love, and my mom and I are going tonight to look for fabrics for the bedding. My mom and me will be making the bedding (I thought it would be a fun project together!), and I will definitely be learning how to sew during this project. We are also going tonight to get the car seat and stroller that I want because Babies R Us is having a great Trade-in Deal right now. If you trade in a stroller, crib, car seat, bouncer, etc. then you get 25% off an item, and you can do this with multiple items! So we are literally using the cribs that we had as babies to trade in. So excited! I wanted to take the items home, but my mo told me that I would not get to take them home because that is what they are buying for the baby gift, and I have to wait until my baby shower. Boo! I wanted to mess around with it, but I guess I will have to wait!

Getting even more excited to meet my Cole, and I cannot wait for these next 20 weeks to fly by!! Talk to you all later! ;)The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-61292753499509961342011-09-08T07:20:00.000-07:002011-09-08T07:43:09.165-07:00It's A Boy!So, Trevor and I have known for almost 3 weeks now that we are having a boy! We are very excited, and Trevor is sooo proud. I cannot wait to meet my little boy in February, and the time is passing more quickly than I thought it would! The first 12/13 weeks seemed to take forever, but now that I am feeling better, and not so exhausted, the time is flying by. I will be 19 weeks on Saturday, which is almost half way there! Crazy! I have my 19/20 week appointment next week, and they better confirm what we found at at 16 weeks- that it's a boy- or I will freak! lol.

So I wanted to share some of my sono pics, which, in my opinion, are the cutest!!

The best sound in the world! If you know his work schedule, that is a very long time for him to be home, and not traveling almost every other week. Well, the time has come for him to start traveling again, and I, for one, am definitely not looking forward to it. In fact, he is out of town on business right now. I guess I forgot what it was like when he travels, because I am having the hardest time sleeping. Any noise in the house wakes me up in a panic, even though I have the alarm on, and if anyone so much as opens a door, it will go off. My worst fear is someone breaking into my house and harming me, and it is 10 times worse when Trevor is not home. This trip is only from Monday to this Thursday, so one more night alone, but he tells me that September he has a new project starting in Maryland, which means he will most likely start the 10 days away, 4 days home schedule again. NOT my fave. This schedule is supposed to last until the end of the year (December) and continue and finish (hopefully) in January.

So, ummm.... excuse me, I am freaking out because I am due February 4th, and if I deliver even a week early, that will be January. It is starting to freak me out that he will not be there when the baby is born, or when I go into labor. He will also not be here when I am huge and pregnant and need him to go get things, run errands, etc. I cannot imagine what my back will feel like then, but I know right now that it is already killing me! Being pregnant, plus the back pain I deal with everyday from being top heavy, this could get rough. Not trying to go on a complaining spree, but I have been worrying about these things for a few weeks now, and I need to let it out!! LOL!

In other news, I started a Pregnancy Yoga video last night, and OUCH am I sore this morning! This lady has me using muscles I did not know I had! It was hard to walk up the stairs this morning because I have been so bad about working out, and even stretching has become chore. I will keep at it though! I want to be a healthy weight with this pregnancy, and even though I have not gained any weight yet, I want to keep it a healthy weight once I start gaining. I hope all of you are keeping cool in this hot, hot summer weather. I do not know about you, but I am ready for the cool fall weather and the clothing that goes along with it!! Keep cool everyone, and have a great week!!
The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-38215603110473732452011-08-10T06:08:00.001-07:002011-08-10T06:20:30.666-07:00I feel like a Yo-Yo!I have finally entered into my second trimester, and am so excited to start getting my energy back, certain parts of me aren't as sore as they used to be(lol), and I was excited for the nausea to go away. I was having really good luck with the drug Zofran helping with my nausea, but that medicine makes things harder on your body to function (and those who have taken it know what I am talking about- its way too TMI to discuss), so I was ready to get off of it everyday and just have that "Honeymoon Second Trimester". So, entering into my 13th week I stopped taking the Zofran- not so bad.... I felt fine as long as I ate something right when I woke up in the morning. I though "Ah ha! I have found the secret to this morning/all day sickness thing!" Hmmm... not so much. Everyday is a different scenario and I am beginning to feel like a Yo-Yo- one day up and fine and one day dropping back down to misery. Yesterday I felt the best I have this entire pregnancy- I though "Eureka! It has finally happened!" Yea.... wake up this morning, not so much. So, I have resorted back to my precious Zofran. I will take it in the morning if I feel nauseous, and if I don't then I will not. I cannot wait until I never have to take it!! (That's going to happen, right Moms?)

On the other hand, I am still shocked that I am actually pregnant. I really do not think that it will sink in until I feel the baby move, which my OB/GYN said would be aroun 16-20 weeks. I am also looking forward to getting my 19/20 week sono so we can find out if this baby is a boy/girl. Almost everyone who has guessed the sex has guessed boy, so we shall see! I am making an appointment today to get a "ghetto" sonogram done at Stork Vision at 16 weeks, just to see if they can tell what the sex of the baby is, but I will not begin the clothes buying frenzy until I go to my 19 weeks appointment on September 19th- just to make sure!! :)

Happily moving through the beginning of my 2nd trimester, and I cannot wait to see my baby again in 2 weeks, and to feel my baby move for the first time (which will hopefully happen sooner than later!). Until next time, have a great rest of the summer!
The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-6871242515813433242011-07-29T07:36:00.000-07:002011-07-29T07:49:45.015-07:00Shocker I know! New Post!I am the worst blogger of all time- lol. It has literally been since last summer since I posted anything, and so much has happened since then. I am going to give a quick run down of my year- and not a very detailed one at that.

As I had previously stated in one of my earlier posts, Trevor and I tried for 16months to get pregnant with our 1st baby. I went through 2 OB/GYNs and was then even referred to an RE (reporiductive endocronologist). They thought that my next step was IUI, but my OBGYN put me on 1500mg of Metformin adn gave me one last try with 100mg of Clomid. I had done 8 rounds of Clomid by this point and most doctors will stop you at 3-6! I am ecstatic to say that the final round worked!!!! I am 13 weeks pregnant with our first baby and Trevor and I could not be more excited! That was a HUGE part of our year, with so many worries, tears- from me of course- and frustrations. I can truly say that infertility is one of the hardest things that a woman can go through, and you just do ont know how it feels until they tell you that you will not have a baby on your own. I feel extremely blessed that my story has a happy ending, and I am praying very hard for my friends/family who are going through the same thing. I was so blessed to have people praying for me, and I believe that the power of prayer is what got me pregnant, so I do not miss a day praying for those people who also need it. My due date is February 4th, 2012, so I am sure that I will have lots more to tell you about! I would post my picture of my 12 weeks appt. sono, but my baby was so active it is actually really blurry, so I decided to skip it. :)

I also turned 30 this year, which was really not as bad as it seems! I loved my 20s but I would definitely not go back through all of the trying to figure out who I am, etc. My sister also got married this February 7th, and it was so beautiful! We wnt on a ski trip to Steamboat, CO. and her and Garrett tied the knot on a snow ladened hill that our condo was next to. The view was gorgeous!! It was snowing so hard that day, you could barely see the view in her wedding pics, but it was a truly precious moment for me to serve as her Matron of Honor.

Basically I am highlighting the major things that happened in my life, because a whole year of explaining would just be to long! I hope to get better at this, yes, I kow I have said thsi before, but hopefully with the kiddo on the way, I will have more things to talk about and share with you!!The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-42793812200333028012010-12-13T11:00:00.001-08:002010-12-13T11:10:16.663-08:00Weekend RewindThis past weekend was particularly good because Trevor came home on Thursday night, and he got to the spend the weekend at home with me! After he flew in on Thursday evening we went to Saltgrass and had dinner and had a great dinner. Then on Friday night we watched a movie together and did some laundry, and cleaned the house a little. I was really excited that Trevor was home this weekend because we had an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party to attend on Saturday night, and it seems like he is always out of town when there are parties to attend. The girls (me, Paige, Jenay, Chelsea and J'ton) all wanted to get our makeup done for the party, so we had appointments at the MAC store at Firewheel. My makeup looks kind of dark for me, but everyone else's looked great! The party was alot of fun, and I got a beautiful necklace out of the Chinese gift exchange (thanks to Chelsea!). Trevor and I ended up staying at Garrett's house that night so that we did not have to drive back to Lewisville from Rowlett, a nice change! We woke up Sunday morning and Trevor went to his parent's house to fix something on my car and get it ready to be sold, and Paige and I lounged on the couch all day watching movies. At around 1:30PM I went to Trevor's parents house to make and decorate Christmas cookies and eat lunch. My cookie decorations are not that great- but they sure did taste good! :) After we left we headed home and watched the Cowboy game- and that was my weekend! Unfortunately Trevor left again this morning for Maryland and does not come back until the 22nd of December, but hopefully the time will pass quickly. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-70846798515974694522010-12-01T17:26:00.001-08:002010-12-01T18:50:57.622-08:00Catching up through pictures
I have been absoultely horrible about updating my blog, so I decided to do some catching up through some pictures!

The Wilhite Family Vacation in New Braunfels, TX- June

Trevor and I after a long day at Schliterbahn

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; I am definitely more busy since I graduated and started working full time. Work is going great, and I love the people I work with everyday. I turned 29 in June, and had a great birthday. Went to the lake for the 4th of July with our friends Clint and Jessica, and I found out that one of my dearest friends Loni is pregnant, and I could not be happier for her and her husband Josh! We are currently planning her baby shower, and it's going to be so much fun. Trevor and I are still in the baby making proxess, we have not had any luck, but I am staying positive! I have heard that stressing over it just makes it harder, so I am trying to stay optimistic!

Trevor and I will be heading to Europe in August and spending 10 glorious days over there! I cannot wait! We are going to Munich, Venice, and Rome. This has been one of my dreams since I was young, so I cannot wait to see all the sites.

Also my friends Aaron and Brooke got married in June. It was a beautiful wedding, and Trevor and I had a great time celebrating with them. Just trying to touch on all of the highlights from this last couple of months, and I will try to do better about posting! I am sure I will have pictures of our Europe trip at the end of this month. Until then, XOXOXOXO!!The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-48470705527631773032010-05-25T17:26:00.000-07:002010-05-25T17:53:13.386-07:00GraduationSo I graduated college on May 14th @ 1:00PM. I gotta say that it was the best feeling! I did not think that it would make me so emotional but it did. Finally closing that chapter, and ready to move on with the rest of my life. Here are some pictures of my graduation and the awesome party that my Mom, my sister, and Stephanie threw me! Love you guys! It was so much fun!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1hxBQm6xY2_oGwJL-DFaTVkCCHEVSKiol3C85mBtn0D02NDCvVTvgbCGVbsZssQCeOOxNRqcKBmHCM4y-bAxa2lE72W7BmeJMrdoT4DpfwgBmPPgvL-E_p_UjSGmhowf-HuXcVqxjCkU/s320/DSC00036.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5475370088425251090" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHKh8BoU7N96U_9VsyWC3FvVmHYRGVil3xWK9GQ4vtV7l3P2IGwa4wSABNY8BWZ9auwzq4QTLpifILphlBPQ5I4J-4Kp9r2DS-mmxHgg0X9OVORSSJgA6K49LJTdKd3XUse-_nfoRug94/s320/DSC00041.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5475370077113481010" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnOn8EFP2533nr_ZmOF8DAVnU1Mx5YofsuUq4nKS6tze8sYj3phS0PL_nlb9NgJvXTgFxGuJDv2-HN5S16yxMov-HRB5NCmDXlMW6SkcOEnoCwR37GJyAUP7vkpPg6pR-hzvJlybtLWvE/s320/DSC00039.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5475370068512390162" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhv6LHxwdZTjxpSHaWqXvfTkc7X9vlpVWxw4WqGFxAYDLr3M1R7GIBalIkzecnXMvtOk_HQn559p6BemiBLAdxeI__UfVeiKf8xgdvlVRIs3SE6dmDcX1fHiRBD8r2iCgr7z_Mk7RjhlWM/s320/DSC00035.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5475370064787042914" />The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-90363388147062426192010-04-23T12:57:00.000-07:002010-04-23T13:14:54.744-07:00Getting WAY too comfortableSo Trev and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 months now, so far no good. :( But like I said it's only been 2 months. Hopefully it will happen soon- my hope is alive! Anywho, so I have stopped eating well, working out at all, and have been saying to myself "Well, I don't need to workout and eat well because I am trying to get preggers and I will get huge anyway!" Not a good outlook to have, but SO much easier than trying to stay on the "healthy" path! Anywho, I will be graduating very soon, and I took a look in the mirror this morning and said "EW!" I want to look fabulous in my graduation pics, not Fat-ulous! The only solution for this situation is to get my butt off the couch, and away from the computer (stupid school work), and start working out. Trevor has said that he will start running with me, so that's great! Hopefully we stick to it. As far as eating so unhealthy, that will just have to stop. It's my own fault that I eat horrible things for me, and I can control that. I actually know alot of recipes that are super healthy for me, but for some reason I decide to make the cheesy goodness recipes.

Next up, figuring out how to get and stay motivated! I fall into the comfortable zone way too easily!! So if you know of any delish recipes that are super healthy send them my way!!

In other news, I started my job on Tuesday and it feels good to make money again. :) The only drawback is that the girl who was training me was absent on Thursday, and I had only 1 day to train with her. Then my supervisor called me today to tell me that my trainer had her baby this morning. AHHH!! So now I am pretty much on my own when it comes to figuring out what my job is. I will figure it out!! (Hopefully!) So now instead of working just Tuesday and Thursday, I will be working everyday. MWF after school and all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. More money! But less time to study for finals.... I'll take the money!

This weekend is not very busy. Trevor and I will be staying home tonight with me working on school work (I am running out of time!) and Trevor on the house. Then on Satuday we will be going out to dinner with our friends Aaron and Brooke. Yay! I have not seen either one of them in what seems like forever! Sunday will be a day of more school work. UGH- can't wait to be done! I am done for now! Everyone have a safe fun weekend!!The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-42316324354315809992010-04-15T12:47:00.000-07:002010-04-15T13:03:12.001-07:00Got my hair did...I have been wanting to do something different with my hair for a while, and today I did!! I always get my hair back to it's natural color, all healthy and long, and then I get the itch to change it. So today I went to my friend Sidney's house where her salon is and she highlighted and trimmed up my layers. It looks great! I love it, and it's jus light enough for the summer time. It is so funny how getting your hair done can make you feel like a million bucks! So thanks Sidney!! I know you are reading this- hhhheeeehhheeehhheee.

This weekend is Jenay's b-day party at Dave and Busters, yay! So Trevor and I will be heading there on Saturday, but then hopefully Friday night will be a nice quiet evening at home, and we can get dome house work done. We really need to start redoing the kitchen, take down the wallpaper, texture the walls, then paint those walls. Next up after that..... the blue room getting painted. We have been in this house since August of last year, and we have done very little that we said we would do by now. Such is life. But lately I have wanted to start these projects and just get them over with!!

I graduate in a month from yesterday! YAY!! Now I just need to focus on studying for my finals, and getting a major paper done. This year is flying by already, and I would like to slow down and savor my graduation moment, without having to think about getting a job.....hahaha yea right! I have a busy summer coming up, well in June, not really July, so I doubt that will happen.

Our camera is still broken, we just need to buy a new one, but I have a pic from my phone. SO here it is! I looked down in the photo so you could see the highlights.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-dsXXPmaCvCd2g3V08ngqVr6ktUWEtCX1i4rreVZe2yxwNbpxgWQXtV6noBZgOBOgFqeSz1R1KWcP4XQvtefLmxtgiAbdMLEzc9g7equjUCfQ35QvC5FriwU09sI8AVzm3Q-OZ1kPIAM/s320/hair.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460457210432178690" />The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-42929732600502507522010-04-08T11:43:00.000-07:002010-04-08T11:57:23.118-07:00I gots to get PAID!So I got a call from my sister-in-laws work yesterday. I had asked Tammy that since I was graduating, if she could see if her work was hiring, maybe even something temporary, and if she could circulate my resume around her office. She did, and the next day- the HR department called!! YAY! So I filled out an application, and then I went on an interview today. It went really well!! I pretty much was told that I got the job, and that I will start training the week of May 3rd. Well, that is the last week of classes for me, so I told her all about it, and it seems to be fine. SO hopefully I will have a job soon! YAY! I would be a customer service rep., and that's ok, but I hope it leads to another job. ;)

Since Trevor and I have decided to try and get preggers, I will put off getting ym teaching certification, and just get a job to bide the time from me getting pregnant and actually having the baby. SO hopefully this will work out, and become a long term option, if I like the job. I am just excited that I will be getting paid. I have not had a job for a year and a half, and it will help to have more spending money, and more savings for my car that I will be getting during tax season of next year, can't wait!!The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-91690764130343063242010-04-05T11:42:00.000-07:002010-04-05T11:55:35.275-07:00Easter WeekendI started my weekend off by going by the UTA bookstire to purchase my cap, gown, and honor cords for my graduation. I was truly giddy at this point. I cannot wait to graduate, one of my biggest goals almost finally accomplished. This semester will finally be over with a few more papers written, and a few more tests to take! Next I went home, did some house cleaning, and the waited for Trevor to get home so we could go to dinner. After dinner we went back to our house and got ready to go out with Jessica and Clint. They were in town for their family Easter, and staying in Ft. WOrth, so we headed down to the bar area around TCU, and had some drinks, the boys played pool, and we had a great time. After we decided to go ahead and stay at the hotel Jessica and Clint were staying at since we had been drinking and liced around 45 minutes away.

On Saturday morning, we all got up, went to eat breakfast together, and then Trevor and I headed back to our house. We had a relaxing day toether, and then when it came to Saturday night we got ready once again to hang out with Clint and Jessica in Ft. Worth. This time CLint's parents came out- they are tons of fun- and we all went to the Stockyards in Ft. Worth. We ended p at this bar called "Flithy McNasties" kid you not!! Good friends, good music, and good times. That night ended with a trip to Whataburger for late night munchies, then Trev and I headed back home to the house to rest up for Easter Sunday.

We woke up SUnday morning, got ready for family time at my parents house, and headed that way. My whole family was at my mom's house, including my Aunt Dru and Uncle Mark. Next up was Trevor's parents house and we ate more food, and watched the kiddos hunt for the Easter eggs. I can't wait until I have a little one to hunt for eggs. Yes, that's right my baby fever has heightened!!! Surprise, surprise. :) Anywho, we went home and watched very little t.v., and then I crashed for the night. Was so tired!! That was our Easter weekend, and I hope you all had a great one too!! No pics from the weekend since our camera is still broken! :(The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-60057693553519134712010-03-29T12:25:00.000-07:002010-03-29T12:40:25.964-07:00Lately...This weekend was a blur. It went by waaay to fast for my taste! Friday night we went to Wing Stop to grab some dinner, and then we headed to the Lewisville Baseball Center to watch a Opening Day Parade that my nephew was in. After watching the parade and wtching the kiddos play for awhile we went to get some ice cream (yum!) and headed home to watch some t.v. then go to bed. Saturday we woke up early to go to our nephew Greyson's first Blast Ball game. Blast ball is just like t-ball, but when you reach first base, the kids jump on the base and it honks. lol. They are 3, so no one gets out and there is really no fielding going on either. Just teaches them the basics of hitting the ball and running the bases. After the game Trevor and I drove to Garland. I spent the day with my parents and Trevor went to his parents so that him and his brother Trent could work on our new granite fireplace mantle. After that I went over to Jenay's house, played with her kiddos, then went to eat at Dodie's in Rockwall with Paige, Jenay, Wade, and myself. After Trevor met us, and we went to meet Chelsea and Brent at a friend of their's, and I actually ended up knowing from 1st grade- lol. Small world. After that we headed back to Jenay and Wade's to hang out a bit longer, then we headed home for the night. On Sunday we were lazy the first part of the day, but then around 12:00PM we got up took showers and headed to Babies R Us to order the crib that I mentioned in one of my earlier posts. It will be here in 7-14 days. Now all we need is a baby! I know it's only been one month since we started trying (yay!) but I am already impatient. HAHA. I can't wait for our family to grow. :)

Today I went to school and worked on our group project that is due at the end of April. Wow how this semster has flown by!! I cannot believe it's almost April, and that means only 1 month until I graduate!! After that, job searching will commence- oh goody. Wish me luck!!The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-39707563980536415262010-03-22T11:18:00.000-07:002010-03-22T11:45:20.495-07:00BEP Concert/Girls Weekend Getaway!Well, as my readers know, my wonderful hubby got me a ticket to the Black Eyed Peas concert for this past weekend. It was a blast! I started out Friday by packing my bag and then headed to my friend Ashley's house so that we could carpool to the W Hotel. We first heaaded to the MAC store at Firewheel Mall to get our makeup done. I had a girl named Nia- she was so fun and her makeup skills were excellent! After the makeup we headed off to the W Hotel where we met up with Chelsea, Jenay, and J'ton. We ate pizza from Campisi's then got all dressed for the concert. The W Hotel is literally across the street from the AA Center, so we walked to the AA Center, got our drinks, and headed down to the floor for the concert. I had no idea Ludacris was opening for the BEP, so I was so excited and surprised that he did! LOVE HIM!! He was amazing!! The same goes for the BEP. It was the best concert I have attended. The energy they caused in the room was crazy!! After the concert we headed to the Ghost Bar where the BEP were holding a private concert. Well, we get there and spot Miles Austin and Tony Romo.I tried to get a pic of Tony, but soon after my camera broke!!! :( SO I only have pics from Friday night, and not even all of it. Well by this time my feet were KILIING me from wearing high heels all night, so I decided to tab out and go to the room with Ashley. Well, the Ghost Bar is retarded or the bartender was and could not find my tap for like 1 1/2 hour!!! I was PO'd to say the least, so by the time they found it (ugh) Jenay, Chels, Paige, and J'ton were already in the room. We went to bed soon after, and woke up the next morning to snow flurries! We got ready then headed to Hooters to eat lunch. (HAHA- our waiter looked at us like we were crazy- all 5 6 ladies at Hooters alone- no boys.) Well it was close and sounded good! So we ate there then headed back to our rooms and just chilled for a while, but soon enough it was time to have our massages at the in house spa at the W called Bliss. My massage was 75 minutes long and AMAZING!! I left totally relaxed, and just wanted a nap! We al went back to our room, planned on taking naps, but ended up just talking, and sharing good times. After a few hours we got ready and decided that it was just too cold out to travel a long ways for dinnr, so we chose.....El Fenix!! HAHAHA. It was nice though because we sat there for almost 4 hours just talking, having drinks, dinner, and good times. :) After dinner we left and had to run through a whiteout! It was snowing so hard you could barely see where you were going, and it was freezing!! We fianlly get back to the hotel, ggrab a drink (shot) from the lounge bar in the hotel, and go to our rooms to drink more and just hang out and have girl time. It was a perfect night! We went to bed that night, and woke up the next morning, packed up and drove to Jenay's house where my car was parked. My car was covered in snow!! So I clear it all off, and start driving home. The roads were not that bad, but some of the overpasses were. I was driving on 635 near Skillman/Audelia and a BMW X5 slammed on their brakes in front of me, and started spinning out of control. I didn't know what to do!! They spun to the left, I kept my pace, then they spun around me, and missed me by inches! I was so lucky that they did not hit me!! Had I slowed down at all I would have been involved in a wreck that morning. The BMW finally hit the HOV wall and stopped. Whew- that scared the crap out of me!! BUt they were ok, started driving again, and all was well. Hate that kind of weather!!! ANyway I drove home, picked up lunch for me and Trev and spent the rest of the day relaxing in my bed recovering from a great girl's weekend!! :) Now back to reality of school work, and starting to look for a job. Argh. Here are some pics from the weekend, well only Friday night- grrrr.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfukvyAc5rYvPLi8qwvKDtS3cTR5WA5acydx-lrFAPHS7K94CtnOy1QkGylqvP70GkXp9f14f-_8dwn_m5waw31T5t3RfFpXZY5bK8LLFWFEOMZmHtuPmGl46c4ZLwGitmxp3cmipqNG0/s320/359.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451530817045790546" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ocYykTH43lcVhqARy_ONmae7AqPX96AszHfcPjR5KkQhOxwgJGQnaJFkLWzzsr6MMFIaS9xErYDtJKWrV61UBjUqEdeiKq10A3YqD-3NDuE1aTvEx6KM5xJe4z_I7y_ybVFBS4CuF9k/s320/298.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451530805078361026" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7O-zqENO0ceZHJe4iaS4HlniD2aX41069ywVBfVSnwQhYiAXlMCZj1SeyzVn8ZkvuqHQPuxOjj5VYaULY-0w-GQra5yhF4JbmAXE4HyZwk0L23MwtZw1hfIFXo6A19y0yNCrDxbeJlI4/s320/281.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451530801077350610" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG-B88Jxru4wVlacdLLC5OdIYc7hUyEGPLY7LDjoBX0GPlYQ30MMvd-zA-RVa6RcBe7JhDK0ZinO0TER6NaCEQP7LcqxI6NzyZH6KTzs0KYHY6VmOL4PNBjw_JS5Wi8aJ_L91stHq9yzU/s320/262.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451530793315799954" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRYdGHGHk946wozdR8TMyrtSvp_oGFKSswENRFsaVRhFH5MtqZydAv-JgIzQNH6Rh3hEsc412kGpKpOBfoNtoyIEzhvHTjRgVZLkxVnI3XbkCqavulM2nA43QG2jeKTN8QGlNqOi65-3M/s320/261.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451530790370782626" />The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-66559850551732715562010-03-13T21:36:00.001-08:002010-03-13T21:48:25.488-08:00Best Hubs Ever!Let me begin this post by saying that Jenay, Chelsea, Paige, Ashley, and myself thought it would be a good idea to have a girls night one night where we went to the Black Eyed Peas concert and then make a weekend of it by staying at the W Hotel. Well the time came to buy the tickets and it was just the wrong time for us money wise. The tickets were $100 for the floor (which is where they wanted to be), and it was Christmas time, no good. Buying presents for my family, plus Trevor's huge family spells no extra money. So I had to say no to the tickets and concert that I was so looking forward to. Well I still was going to stay at the hotel with the girls Saturday night, but was still bummed about the concert on Friday. Well, last week my husband called me and totally surprised me by telling me that he bought me the floor ticket and that I was going to the concert. I was so surprised!! It's one of those moments when you think "WOW! He knows me so well!" He talked to Jenay about the whole thing one night, and planned it all by himself. Can't believe it! Suffice to say, I am stoked about going to the concert with the girls and having a great time, all thanks to my wonderful husband. I love you babe!! :)So the concert is on Friday the 19th, and I am sure that I will have tons of pics to post. Till then!The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-77882302083327854972010-03-11T08:39:00.000-08:002010-03-11T08:53:16.706-08:00Home AloneAs most of you know, Trevor travels quite a bit and is gone for appx. 10 days- give or take a few days on occassion. I used to have a dog named Kaiya to warn me if something was amiss in the neighborhood, but now she is with a different family, so we had our security system installed and hooked up when she left. I feel safer knowing that the alarm will blare if someone even enters the house, but I still have this irrational fear of strangers intruding into the house and hurting me. So where is this post going??? (I bet you were wondering!) Well, I am studying for this class in Criminology about serial murders and rapists. My final is on Sunday, and I am vigourously pouring through 2 books trying to study for this mid-term. One book had 9 chapters worth of information and the other book 3 LONG chapters of information that we can be tested upon. So I was reading through my Serial Murder book, and they discuss these murders and rapes in very vivid detail- ugh. So here I was last night, reading my book rather late into the night, and I just can't help the feeling that this could happen to me! Irrational I know, but still, being home alone is the worst sometimes. Especially when I have to read this book for class.

On another note, and this is going to sound strange to some, but I had to go crib shopping yesterday. NO I AM NOT PREGNANT! The reason behind this is my sister-in-law Tanya had a recall come out for the crib that she used to use for her now 3 year old son Greyson. Well Greyson does not use his crib anymore, so she offered us the recall certificate to go to Babies R Us and use the money for a new crib. She offered this a long time ago, even before we were married, but I kept putting it off because I was thinking wedding at the time, not kids! The only catch is that I have to use this certificate by April 2nd of this year- oooppps! So here I am going to Babies R US with my mom, dad, and sister, ppicking out baby furniture when I am not even pregnant- weird feeling??? YES!!! But I am not about to let a free crib certificate worth almost $400 go to waste!! So now that I have picked out a crib, I am planning on buying the dresser/channging table with it because it matches the crib, and I am afraid that the furniture will be discotinued. ARGH!! More money that I don't need to spend right now, but it's kind of unavoidable. SO..... if any of my friends who have a coupon to Babies R US, and you don't want to use it, please let me know!!! I am looking for one that says like 20% or 15% off any purchase or a furniture coupon, etc. It would be a huge help!!! I guess this furniture is going to have to sit in the attic until I have my own little bundle of joy, and I hope that happens sooner than later, because my baby fever is not getting any better!!! :) Love you all!! Please wither email or respond on here if you have such a coupon!! :)The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-40359987079555532322010-03-08T09:46:00.000-08:002010-03-08T10:13:39.925-08:00Fun filled weekend

We started out our weekend on Friday with drinks and wings at Hooters, then off to the Mavs game with our friends Clint and Jessica. We had seats at the very top of the AA center, but we still had tons of fun, and then I found out that an old friend Celia was at the game with her husband BJ. We text back and forth and then she invited us to the suite that they had tickets in during the 3rd quarter. We had so much fun catching up and watching the game!

Saturday was a much lazier day than Friday. We hung around the house all day, not doing much. I had gotten sick in Mexico b/c of their water (no I didn't drink it!) so I missed the Lation Cardio class that I was supposed to attend on Satuday morning with Libs, and Steph. :( So we watched Law Abiding Citizen, which is a really good movie, and finally around 3:00PM I got in the shower and got ready for the rest of the day. Like I said- very lazy. Clint and Jessica were leaving in a while so we decided to head up to Saltgrass to eat, and of course this is one of my favorite places to eat, and I still felt so sick to my stomach that I could not eat my food! ARGH! We went home after Saltgrass and said goodbye to Clint and Jessica, then Trevor and I watched a little bit more tv, then I started on homework that I needed to catch up on asap!

Sunday Trevor and I got up, took showers, and wanted to run errands and do things out of the house, BUT it was raining outside, so we decided to stay inside and clean house. We also had a wedding to attend today, so around 3:00PM we went to Target to get a gift card and a card to go with it, then headed to Meredith and Eric's wedding at the Hickory Street Annex. I had never been to this site before, but the inside is gorgeous!! They took an old warehouse and made it into a loft, and i turned out great! The wedding was so fun, and it's always a blessing to see two people who love each other start their married life together. After the wedding, Trevor and I watched a little more tv at home, then hit the sack!! Here are some pics of our fun filled weekend!! Until next time........

The Mavs Game!

The Wedding!

The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-10188655844846980352010-03-06T19:38:00.000-08:002010-03-06T19:52:26.956-08:00Mazatlan, Mexico Trip

So we just got home from our trip to Mazatlan, and it was so much fun! I have never taken a trip with another couple and it definitely makes it more exciting to share it with more than just my hubby. We had a great time, we got to the airport and promptly started drinking, and the whole day pretty much followed like that. The resort was amazing! It was more relaxed than say a resort in Cancun where you have every 18 year old from the States running around on Spring Break. Immaculate service, and everyone was so friendly! The only downer was although I did not drink the water, I still got sick from the ice they used in Mexico. UGH!! Me, Trevor, and Clint got sick for at least one day. Jessica was in the clear (Clint's GF). But all in all we had a blast, and I would def go back there for sure.

So we returned on Thursday night LATE and I had to go to school on Friday morning, I was exhausted! Then on Friday night we went to Hooters, and then to the Mavs game, and it was fun! Haven't been to one in a while, and while there I got to see an old friend Celia, and it has been forever since I have seen her. She was in the United Healthcare Suite, and actually invited us in, so that was so generous of her!

So I am trying to keep my blog more up to date, cause rumor is I never update it- lol- Steph! I will try to do better, promise!! Love you all! :) Here are some pics of our wonderful vacay!

The Wilhite'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08730448110004460080noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1455256382920318407.post-81442321085549068402010-02-16T18:55:00.000-08:002010-02-16T18:56:44.351-08:00WeddingI totally forgot to mention that Trevor and I got married on October 10, 2009 in my last blog.
